The 183d Wing recently hosted seven members of the Polish Air Force from the Air Operations Center - Air Component Command, in Warsaw, Poland. The delegation was led by Maj Gen Ireneusz Starzyński, Air Operations Center - Air Component Commander.

The Polish Air Operations Center is similar to the 183d Air Operations Group (183 AOG). While here, they observed the 183 AOG training in action, during an exercise held at the base. They discussed how they could implement similar training, and cooperation with the 183d in future exercises.

The Illinois National Guard and the Polish military are celebrating 30 years of partnership through the State Partnership Program (SPP). Through SPP, the National Guard conducts military-to-military engagements in support of defense security goals but also leverages whole-of-society relationships and capabilities to facilitate broader interagency and corollary engagements spanning military, government, economic and social spheres.
