SPRINGFIELD, IL --
The 183d Wing held their first Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) and Senior Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) Induction Ceremony this weekend for members promoted to Staff Sergeant and Master Sergeant in 2022 and 2023.
The ceremony is a tradition meant to celebrate Airmen as they transition from Airmen to NCO, or NCO to SNCO.
Eighteen Staff Sergeants and sixteen Master Sergeants were inducted into the NCO and SNCO Corps.
Each member accepted their new responsibilities, and were presented with a medallion and two certificates symbolizing their new status in the Corps.
