Members of the 183d Wing attended the first CareerSpark STEAM Expo in Springfield, cohosted by Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT).
The 183d Maintenance Squadron demonstrated their 3D print capability, and the 217th Engineering Installation Squadron provided a fiber-optic spicing demonstration.
This hands-on, interactive work and career readiness experience for 8th grade students, inspired more than 700 students from nine school districts representing Central Illinois to explore exciting careers in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields.
